A free educational workshop designed to help community members better understand substance use, mental health challenges, and the impact of stigma on recovery. 

Stigma can be one of the biggest barriers to recovery and mental wellness. It affects how people view themselves, whether they seek help, how they are treated by others, and how communities respond to those who are struggling.

This community training is designed to help participants better understand what stigma is, where it comes from, and how it affects individuals, families, workplaces, healthcare systems, and communities. Through discussion, education, and interactive activities, participants will explore common misconceptions about substance use and mental health while gaining practical tools for creating more supportive and recovery-friendly environments.

Participants will learn how language, assumptions, and stereotypes can influence outcomes, and how small shifts in understanding can make a meaningful difference in someone’s willingness to seek help and engage in recovery.

Most importantly, attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the people behind the labels and a clearer picture of how communities can support hope, healing, and recovery.
