SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING – QUESTION. PERSUADE. REFER.

August 18 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Every 11 minutes, someone dies by suicide in the United States. It’s the second leading cause of death for people ages 10 to 34, and often it’s preventable.

Join us on August 18th for a life-saving QPR Suicide Prevention Training presented by Porter County Health Department at Three20 Recovery.

Our goal is to equip our community with the knowledge and confidence to respond when someone may be struggling. This free, evidence-based training is designed for anyone who wants to help make our community stronger and safer. Participants will learn how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, start supportive conversations, offer hope, and connect individuals to the resources they need. We never know when someone around us—a friend, neighbor, coworker, family member, or even a stranger—may be struggling. While you may never expect to find yourself in that moment, this training will prepare you to respond with confidence, compassion, and the skills to help save a life. Together, we can build a community that is prepared to recognize the signs, respond with care, and offer hope when it’s needed most.

Location: 320 S Calumet, Chesterton, IN 46304

If you plan on attending, you must RSVP; this training caps at 30.
